Hindustan Zinc rose 6.69% to Rs 132.45. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) will reportedly take a call on residual stake sale in Hindustan Zinc. The Government aims to mop up Rs 30000 crore through disinvestment this fiscal. As on 30 June 2012, the government held 29.54% stake and Vedanta group company Sterlite Opportunities & Ventures held 64.92% stake in Hindustan Zinc. According to reports, Vedanta group chief Anil Agarwal sent a reminder to the Prime Minister last month requesting him to decide soon on his proposals for buying back of residual stake in Hindustan Zinc. Liquor maker United Spirits rose 6.54% to Rs 982.55. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 990 in intraday today, 21 August 2012. AstraZeneca Pharma India rose 6.44% to Rs 1,747.75. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. Financial services company Reliance Capital rose 5.44% to Rs 371.25. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. Shares of firms operating mutual fund and insurance business rose after market regulator announced a number of measures to increase the penetration of mutual fund products and energising distribution network. Reliance Capital, which operates Reliance Capital Asset Management Company, announced last week that it completed selling 26% stake in Reliance Capital Asset Management to Japan's Nippon Life Insurance for Rs 1450 crore. Non-banking finance company (NBFC) Bajaj Finserv rose 4.50% to Rs 937.20. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. Bajaj Finserv holds 74% in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.
