Muthoot Finance leads gainers in 'A' group 11-Sep-2012

Gold loan company Muthoot Finance spurted 10.57% to Rs 151.65. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. Shares of non-banking finance companies providing loan-for-gold were in demand on firm gold prices. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for delivery in October 2012 was trading at Rs 31,895 per 10 grams today, 11 September 2012. It hit an intraday high of Rs 31,973 per 10 grams.

Healthcare equipment maker Opto Circuits (India) jumped 7.75% to Rs 139.65. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company announced during trading hours on Monday (10 September 2012) that its subsidiary, Opto Eurocor Healthcare (OEHL) launched its first Sirolimus Drug Eluting Stent (DES), E-MAGIC Plus on receipt of Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) license to sell and market the product in India.

A stent is a wire metal mesh tube that is used to open a blocked artery during an angioplasty. With the launch of E-MAGIC Plus, Opto Circuits has become one of the few global players to offer DES products with a choice of two drug coatings. The Sirolimus DES market is estimated to be worth Rs 800 crore annually in India. Shares of Opto Circuits (India) fell 0.96% to Rs 129.60 on Monday, 10 September 2012.

Real estate company Unitech climbed 6.99% to Rs 19.90. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

India's second largest listed telecom company Reliance Communications rose 5.64% to Rs 51.55. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Commodity trading company Adani Enterprises rose 5.33% to Rs 178.80. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
